Advertising Research

As individuals we were asked to find 3 or more photos that would inspire us within our theme of freak or unique. This would then  help encourage us to find the creativity within us which we then could freely express into our assignments and given tasks throughout the term.

The first source of inspiration i came across after searching through google images was a piece by Marius Budu. It is known as 'Twisted Flesh'.After doing some research i have discovered that Marius Budu wanted to stimulate thought and create a new/different perspective to his viewers.Twisted Flesh was created to make people look further than the face and to accept the human body more for what it is rather than to be judgmental. Each photo created by Budu allows the viewer to notice new aspects of the body , and also tries to get you to connect with our relationship to our physical selves'.

Marius Budu is fascinated with the human body and thinks of such as a raw material used for art. This he inflicts throughout his work expressing different emotions both through the body language contained in the picture and the effects added .
I feel that this particular image could influence my advert , as i feel that the body form in this image is pouring out all the sadness and negative emotions , revealing the goodness within just as people should view each other in the world , rather than being judgemental.

The next source of inspiration i sought out was a piece by a photographer called Elena Helfrecht from Germany.Elena is particularly fascinated with different perspectives of art and likes to evoke emotions and thoughts throughout her work .Her photography is mainly influenced by dark forests and areas from where she grew up as a child. As a photographer , Elena likes to explore beauty in different ways as shown through this piece shown below .

The editing from this image could inspire me to use different textures or filters in my photography / work to create different emotions.

I then went on to look at the Manzanita study of a Joshua tree. This piece was created by Michael .E.Gordon. The tree looked very twisted and eerie , but also old like it had a story to tell . i think that incorporating a background story into my advert could make it more unique.

This 'Shadow Photo' is by Henrietta Swift.I found this image inspiring as it was something very unique and mysterious . I love how she has created the shadows using people . I think this image will allow me to view new perspectives whilst creating my advert.
